You could also get the freeware utility ADT (Pau Guertin's original
SSC version, not my CC verison) and then examine the assembler source
file for the Apple II part of ADT.  The "Send character" and "Receive
character" routines are in their own subroutines, and comments in the
source code will help you locate them.  In this way you'll quickly
find out where the registers are mapped - naturally they're mapped within
that 16-byte address area assigned to each slot in the Apple II.
