Yes; but, it seems unlikely with AR-D. Original character disks are not
copy protected; so, there is no reason for the program to do anything weird in
terms of format when writing to a Char disk image.
Something which can lead to confusion when using disk images is that, when
prompted to insert a disk, you may, sometimes, have to insert it even if it is
already present.

If your current copy of the game just will not work correctly, you could
try the one on TikTok ( http://abandonwarering.com/tiktok/ ). The file is
named "AlternateReality_TheDungeon_new.zip". It's Disk 1 includes a
deprotection patch from Computist which _may_ make a difference.
Rubywand
