     Don't know-- I do not have any info on the Echo Commander.

     Regarding the compatibility of Echo II software, one check would be to
find out what speech chip the 'Commander uses. (Probably, this will be a fairly
large, distinctive IC on the board.)  Something else to check is that the
software lets you specify the Slot the card is in.
