I got a couple of details wrong in the first post:

The disks are labelled "/CT2     BU.01" through "/CT2     BU.25", not
that it really makes a difference, but it made me think "Chinook
Technologies" so I tried the Chinook Utilities backup program, and
like Salvation, it wanted a "Catalog" disk.

I'm running out of backup programs that I know of.
