I can't say about other computers but the Mac usually won't recognize
hard
drives formatted on Apple IIs. However the IIgs can handle stuff
formatted
on the Mac. If I plan on using something on the Mac and Apple II I
usually
do the initial formatting and partitioning on the Mac then I move the
drive to
an Apple II and and initialize any ProDOS partitions. Sometimes the Apple
II
will see the Mac Drivers partition but don't initialize that or you may
have
difficulty using the drive on a Mac again.
