Re: How to damage a floppy?
A fridge magnet is very weak. You might change a few bits here and there,
enough to make the disk's contents suspect. On the whole it won't wipe the
disk.
Get a strong magnet. Or make a reasonable sized coil (20V on 400 turns
around an iron nail or bolt).
