Because using an Apple II is not just computing ... it's an adventure!
If you do not have a 4MB or larger Expansion Memory card plugged in, the snag
could be due to running out of memory. (So, removing some unneeded Inits and/or
NDAs, as suggested by Eric, could help.)
If the problem is with one or more Inits or NDAs screwing up, the 'usual
suspects' include Inits like Close View and any screen savers. Removing Inits and
NDAs and, then, adding them back one-by-one should help to find which is/are
causing problems.
