On my IIes with the switch, the switch is connected to the J19
connector.
What happens when I put a jumper on depends on the video ROM.
With the machines I have with the 342-0265-A ROM if I jumper J19 I
get a blank screen.
With the 342-0306-A if I don't jumper it I get an alternative keyboard.
These are the IIes sold in Canada and while it's possible the US models
are different I'd rather doubt it.
