I like that term! In fact I just used it over the weekend to identify the
blown component in my parents' 1984-model Mitsubishi console TV set. Now
if I could just get the replacement part...! 8-)

Hmmm...It's been a while since I had the TWGS in, but I am not certain
that the crashing was predictable enough for a can of freeze spray to
narrow it down. It's certainly a thermal problem...I remember it took
longer to get a crash when I ran the machine in Classic Apple Hacker Style
(i.e. with the lid off. Remember the ][+ and ][e where you could run a
desktop ][ with the lid off, especially if you had a monitor stand? IIgs
doesn't work quite as well that way...nothing to balance the monitor on...
