Because the test programs that come with the card, which include functions
to sniff packets being received from the network and send out test packets,
work fine on the Apple IIe.
So I guess I misspoke slightly when I said that there's no software for the
IIe. The configuration and test programs that come with the card do work,
but they're not useful for much real world stuff.
