     The type designation and 96 TPI sounds like double density. Another
indicator would be the absence of a hole in the upper left corner. If you do
not trust the seller's information, you could shop elsewhere.

     The deal on Meritline (500 3.5" DS/DD for $20 + postage) looks good.
