There is an easier way for simple access from the Finder. Open MUG!, then
select
the button for the action you want to perform (such as copying). When the
drive
selection dialogue opens, *then* insert the Zip disk. Of course, when it all
finishes the Finder still wants to complain about the disk.  :-(

It's funny, I tested MUG! with the Finder with floppy disks, and I tested it
with
Zip disks from a GUI application running from the ORCA shell, so I never
really
ran into this problem before. I'll have a look to see if there's anything
useful I can
do about it, although I'm not confident.

BTW, newer versions of MUG! (available to registered users) automatically
detect
and handle binary and text files, giving them appropriate file types and
translating
line endings if appropriate.
