Jay, I assume this is in reference to the lengthy post a while back about the
$815 your SIG pays for meeting space. We ran into a similar problem with
expenses. The major one was not meeting space cost but the newsletter cost
more to produce than dues were bringing in. One solution was to go to an
electronic newsletter. The members could opt for a .pdf newsletter and DOM
at a reduced cost. We were also trading newsletters with many other users
groups. That was curtailed. Board members used to be exempt from paying
dues and anyone who used the web for club business got reimbursed. That
worked when the GS disks brought in enough revenue to cover costs. Good luck.
