Thanks for the help. Maybe, just maybe I can manage it then. Dammit, but I
do need to actually get to work on a prodos filesystem for linux... ;-) Can
you point me to these "details", or tell me what mac software can make
prodos partitions on a hd?

I have a single 5.25 apple brand drive. I have an aging Sider drive that has
some version of GS/OS on it. I have another generic external scsi drive. The
GS doesn't like the 5.25 floppy, though the IIe seems to as far as I can
see. I'm stuck between a barely usable GS and a IIe that can only do basic.
