For me it's the opposite. While it's true that I could put some of my
cool cards in the gs, it'd still be slower, have a smaller screen, display
DHires poorly, etc.
I can't imagine why your HD doesn't boot on the IIe, unless you have an
unenhanced version, which would make it incapable of booting smartport
devices and the like.
