//gs Memory 8 or 16megs?

Hi;

I'm looking at picking up some memory for the Apple //gs (rom3)
Doing some research on the net seems to show that you can actually put
16 megs in the computer - or can you?

I saw an Apple ad from that timeframe that said "up to 16 megs" and
the processor is supposed to be able to address 16 megs. Yet all I see
are 4 meg cards....

I'm trying to come up with the best solution for memory as the
computer I have only has 2 megs or so on an Apple expansion card.

So the questions are;

[1] How much memory can you really put in it?

[2] What's the best Memory card to use?

 I've been looking at Applied Enginering cards but there are many
different makes and models. Ramkeeper and so forth. Can anyone tell me
what the difference is between them and what the best one is to use?
