I have a tendency toward either too short an answer or just phrasing things
poorly sometimes and thereby not making my meaning clear.
The LanceGS has dropped in price but it's my understanding that's largely
due to currency fluctuations.
But what I meant was that the cost of someone having any card produced
for the Apple II is going to likely start at $150 and go up from there.
If someone's producing cards by the thousands they can get a major price
reduction but a small amount of Apple II cards isn't going to get any
volumn discounts. Worse if you should need a custom chip such as the asic
used in the ZipGS then you have a minimum order which means the cost
of those chips have to be spread over the cards you do sell.
My hats off to ///SHH Systeme.
