There's not much in the way of new peripherals that are going to be a whole
lot
cheaper. Ethernet cards are in that price range and if production stops the
second hand ones will likely fetch more if you can even find one.
I suspect it won't be overly long before you see IIgs accellerator cards
reaching the $500 mark.

Except
Try getting a 7 second shift boot with a Rev C.
Or a CD-ROM that is't an early Apple one
Sometimes the price matchs the product.
