Error 8 is I/O ERROR.  This usually means a physical error reading data
from the disk, such as a damaged sector header or bad error correction
code on the sector data.

This means that the contents of the disk is damaged, which probably
means you will need to get a fresh copy of the disk, or at least the
parts of it which are damaged.

There is one other possibility: you may have a dirty drive head.  Try
using a 5.25" drive cleaner (keeping in mind that the head is on the
bottom face of the disk) and see if that improves subsequent access.
