Yeah, there are a lot of gotchas. One solution to that is to pick up either:
a. IIgs with 3.5 and 5.25" drives
b. IIc with UniDisk
c. IIc + with 5.25"
d. IIe Card for your Mac, if it has an LC slot, or IIe card with an LC if
not.

The first two items can be had free or for under $20 if you look around.
