An European IIGS connected to a Sony Trinitron 50Hz PAL TV works fine.
The IIGS can be set to 50Hz or 60Hz operation, it makes no difference.
The picture is b/w in text mode and turns into color when switched to
HGR or GR. It seems that the color killer transistor is always active in
text mode to avoid color fringes.
Really a pity that Archon does not run on the IIGS! It would be great to
play on the color tv.
A Mac 12" RGB display connected to the IIGS showed the correct colors,
but didn't get into horizontal sync. The scan line frequency doesn't
fit, but it should be possible to adjust this with the internal H-Phase
or H-Hold controls. At least in Germany a Mac display is VERY much
cheaper than the rare AppleColor RGB display for the IIGS, therefore
this is worth a try.

When you press CAPS LOCK, the keyboard sends a "that guy pressed CAPS
LOCK"-message to the computer. The ADB controller answers "turn on CAPS
LOCK LED", and this is received by both keyboards.
