I spent a couple of weeks figuring out the right combination to
accomplish the SHK dilemma. I had more problems as my internet acess is
via PC, so my equipment and what worked follows:

Compaq PC, download SHK or SDK using Internet Explorer. Netscape won't
work for some reason, the file looks like it has been downloaded okay,
but it is actually trashed.

Using TransMac, write a Apple readable disc on the PC's floppy. Set
program file transfer to Data.

Using a Macintosh Classic, System 6.XX, with Apple File Exchange convert
the HFS disk to a PRODOS disk. I plug the IIGS 3.5 drive right into the
Mac's floppy port and use this as the destination drive.

Using GS Shrinkit, finally  unshrink the file. I found I needed 2 disk
drives on the IIGS to do this.
