It does, in fact.  The revision C firmware (341-0437-A) added support
for CD-ROM drives - earlier revisions (341-0112A or 341-0112B) only
supported hard drives.

The catch: it probably only supports Apple's original CDSC drive, and
perhaps later derivates (the CDSC+ and CD-150).  It certainly won't
support issuing audio CD commands to later models, since they use a
different command set.  It might be able to use other models for
data-only access.

The Apple High-Speed SCSI card has better support for the CDSC+ and
CD-150, but still doesn't support audio commands to later drives.

The RamFast has the widest support for CD-ROM drives.
