Re: Mac Plus floppy interface
Which Macs other than the Plus had this floppy connector? It seems to be
electrically compatible from my results but I think I need a special driver
to use the 5.25" drive.
BTW this isn't a GS floppy, it's from a platinum IIe. I'd love to get a 3.5"
drive for this IIe but don't know anywhere in Australia which would stock
such things at a reasonable price (under $50).
I also tried making an HFS 5.25" floppy to try on the Plus but it won't read
that either.
It was interesting figuring out how to make an HFS Apple 5.25" floppy. I
formatted a 140K file in the Mac emulator Basilisk II then used COPYA on the
DOS 3.3 master under ApplePC emulator to copy it from PO to DO format. Then
I used ADT to transfer over to a real floppy.
