Whatever code does the diskcheck, I haven't found it... but if I do, it's
probably not that hard to remove or modify to work differently. (It might
be in MENULIB or SYSLIB, so I'll try disassembling those.)
Loading one program from another is done with the use of the PRINT CHR$(4)
technique. That actually rather surprised me, as I thought such a program
would go lower level than that. And unless it's overwriting some serious
portion of DOS - the code really doesn't run that high in memory - it
looks like it ought to run on ANY version of DOS, if it could be made to
run without the "master disk" - such that, say, it could be placed as a
bunch of files on a 3.5" UniDOS disk.
