hi there,
i have an unenhanced apple //e (pal) with a lack of color. when i'm
switching from mono to color (or backwards - don't remember exactly) there
are full colors for a fraction of a second and then this noisy color-signal.
switched to mono he produces a wonderful grayscaled picture.
my first thought has been the transistor mixing up pixel- and color-signals,
but in addition to the color burst there are - as i understand - the
sync-signals, but picture ist stable and quite good - without colors. ;)
so i messed a little bit with the color-capacitor, but there was not change
in the meaning of more or less color, but a significant change in more or
less noise in color-pictures. the only schematics i have are from the
technical reference manual and these are not complete, i think.
maybe anyone has an idea? maybe there are complete schematics somewhere for
downloading?
thanks in advance,
georg
