A number of urban legends abound regarding the taking of stones from
sacred places. In Hawaii, it's well known that if you take a volcanic
rock, you've offended Pele, and she won't forget.
In California, there's Bodie - a ghost town - where supposedly many have
taken objects, only to be struck afterwards with incredible bad luck.
Therefore, many of the taken items have been returned.
Then again, this has absolutely nothing to do with piracy of current
Apple II software, and the financial/psychological harm caused to
developers of that software.
