I don't know anything about Mac smartport but all the black and white
compact Macs have external floppy ports. I'm pretty sure the Mac IIci
and IIcx have them as well. You'll probably want to verify that
prospective models do indeed have the floppy port at Apple's TIL
(Technical Information Library) website.
