This is the wrong forum for that question. This forum deals with the Apple 2
computer, which was a late 1970s-mid 80s computer. That said, theoretically,
you'll have no trouble with office files. The iMac can read that zip, will
see the files. Office should even be able to open them, but this is where it
gets tricky. Microsoft has the bad habit of making version of office that
are incompatible with previous versions, even for the pc alone. It all
depends on which office you install for the mac, and which the files were
created with on the pc. IF you are willing to play around, resaving the
files as alternative formats, you should have no problem with the
transition, and could quite easily recover/convert 90-95% of them. It might
take some work, then again, 100% might be readable with no effort at all.
Hard to say. Just keep in mind, if it doesn't work, it's not because Apple
makes crappy computers, rather because M$ writes trashy software.
