Create the System 6.0.1 installation diskettes on your Mac. On the GS create
an AppleTalk boot diskette (under custom install). There won't be much on this
diskette, but the Finder can reside on your Mac anyway.

The rest is easy enough: from your Macintosh, turn File Sharing on. Connect
your Mac and IIgs with a (generic Macintosh) serial cable, then tell the IIgs
to connect to the Mac by from the control panel (there is a file sharing
option, I do believe).

: The software you need for the Mac is a specific version. Recent
: versions don't support the Apple2.

Personal file share in System 7 or later works. The only problem is that
you can not boot straight off your Macintosh. At least all of my attempts
have failed. ;-) But booting off one floppy, while tight for drivers, is
great for those who don't have a SCSI card. And for those who are
determined not to pay $260 for these card, just have patience. It took
me 6 months to find a complete system IIgs for US$50, but it was well worth
the wait -- and the price (it was a loaded machine). :-)

: The softwares should come with documentation.

Personal AppleShare is really easy to setup on the Mac. All that you have
to know is where to turn it on, and how to connect to the server.
