Yes, the ImageWriter II can be used with a PC. It's a very nice serial
printer, and at least some versions of Windows I've used had it listed among
the supported printers.
I don't know where you can get the cable, however. The book shouldn't be
too necessary; it's a pretty easy-to-use printer.
