Serial cable between the two computers' serial ports.  Hyperterminal on
the Win9X, other Zmodem software on the IIgs.

The setup is REALLY easy to get going.  Get the Data/Stop bits and
parity set correctly on both machines and send a file with Zmodem (set
both softwares for Auto Zmodem detect)

I got my transfer going in about 10 minutes, without any past
experience with connections like this.
