This won't work because Mac OS adds resource forks to files whenever they're
written to a ProDOS disk (this is actually correctish behavior, under GS/OS
rules, but makes ProDOS 8 cranky).

Same problem.

No idea why this works.
The ideal solution is to write the file onto a Mac HFS disk, and use either
a IIgs (and GS-ShrinkIt, in that case) or use a ProDOS 8 HFS disk reading
utility (I can't name any offhand, but I know there are a couple of them) to
read the file off the Mac floppy.
