Re: caller id?

Some modems do, and some don't have CallerID support. The SupraFaxModems
do have. To activate this option, enter:

AT+CID=n
n = 0   : off
n = 1   : short notification
n = 2   : long notification


This I type by heart and it has been almost 1.5 years since I last used
a telephonemodem (my cpu now has a cablemodem).

Too bad the Netherlands didn't have Caller ID back in the time I ran a
BBS, or the blacklist option could have worked :-) Now we have CallerID,
but not according to the international standard, so modems do not
receive the signal :-(
