Some 6-8 years ago, CD-ROM players usually had CD-ROM cartridges: you
inserved your CD in the cardridge, and then you inserted the
cardridge in the CD-ROM player. Yes, you could buy extra empty
cartridges, and keep your CD-ROM's in cartridges all the time.
