I agree with you on this one.  I haven't liked the CD format since the
day it came out.  If they had put the CDs in some kind of case or
jacket like a 5.25" floppy has or like the cartridge storage systems
then they could have been able to use both sides of the CD for storage
from day one and there would be a lot less chance of damage to the
media.

Now DVDs have come out using the same format and I'm still shaking my
head in disbelief.   :-/
