   I have also read that the life span of a CD is like 50 years.  So who to
believe.  Still, the life span of CD's have to be more, and like I said, in 10
years or probably less, you are going to be hard pressed to find 5 1/4"
floppies anymore.  8 Track tape players were the rage at one time, just try and
find the tapes today. Try and find new Beta VCR tapes.  Reel to Reel are hard
to find.  5 1/4" floppies will be the same way someday.  3 1/2" will be easier
to find because there are so many more of the drives out there these days.
