While the machine itself is y2k compliant until 2040, many Apple II  software
applications are not. When you get into using software, you may see many more
y2k glitches.

For example, ProSel 8, ProSel 16, nearly all business and financial programs,
and all versions of AppleWorks "classic" (not AppleWorks GS). Some of the
problems are minor and cosmetic, and others won't even let you start up or let
you enter a date. There are bug fixes available for most of them.
