cool page, but expensive and you could do alot more with a II!

The controller card for the WAO II mentioned on the above site is a
serial card. I had a WAOII and it was fun to play with. You could
program it using simple commands
FD 10
RT 4
IF LEFTBUMBER OFF THEN BK 23
Kinda like LOGO I think (I don't remember LOGO very well. It's been a
long time)
The controller board was a joke. You could use your Apple II keyboard
to modify the statements in a BASIC program
500 DATA FD,45
510 DATA RT,3
and then you could RUN the program and it would send the instructions
to the robot. You would then push the GO button on the robot and it
would do what you wanted it to do.
The robot has a beeper, a spot to hold a pen for drawing, and two
bumber switches.
The BASIC program was very user-unfriendly. You modified the code and
the typed RUN. the program would beep and then end! No messages, etc.
The card for the WAOII is worthless without the WAOII.
There are MANY websites out there with robotics information. AI,
circuit schematics, vision systems, motor control, microprocessor
interfacing, etc.
