FWIW, AppleShare over Ethernet got about 18.5KB/sec with an Apple IIgs and
a Quadra 650. If you can afford the Farallon EtherWave hardware, and
have either a Mac or a Linux box with netatalk, things get a lot faster
with AppleTalk.
