I also did keep on using AW3.0 for database and some spreadsheet stuff.
The amount of stuff I could put on a page with AW3.0, the spreadsheet
module and a DeskJet 500 was nice. Up to 24CPI all staying nice,
formatted and even.
And have never come across a database program or module that is as
nice at the one in Appleworks (8-bit version of course). Everything
else always seems to assume that if you're creating a database, you're
going to want to be printing out labels...I don't think I ever really
had a need to do anything like that. I just want to keep simple
records sometimes.
