If you only have a monitor hooked up to the Second Sight, try hooking up a
GS RGB monitor (or composite) monitor to one of the standard video ports
when this happens. You may find that the mouse pointer still moves. Some
Second Sight cards are more sensitive to glitches in the power and will lock
up, while the rest of the system stays running.

The most likely possibility is that you have a bad (or incompatible) memory
card, unless you have added buggy software to your Focus drive already.

Just to be a little more clear on what RAM card you have, my AE GS-RAM card
(rev. A) has three rows of sixteen sockets (filled with chips), and has
"GS-RAM", "Made In USA", "Applied Engineering", and "Copyright 1986" printed
on the front of the board. This is a 1.5 MB (max, without the 2 MB piggyback
card for the backside) card, and is not compatible with the ROM 3 (or so I
have been told). What is printed on your memory card?

The Second Sight video card will not cause memory conflicts. As a matter of
fact, most software does not even see it. However, it does draw a fair
amount of power, so it could be too much for the stock power supply if you
have more than a couple of other cards in the system.
