Re: Apple IIgs in IIe case?

excuse my ignorance here but is this dificult? are the mounting holes different?
i have 2 gs's (one i use, the other is for looking at the m/b for wiring and setup)
and it would seem it would be a drop in replacment seeing as the power and keyboard
already have connectors on the board... only thing i can think of is all gs's dont
have these connectors.....

About four years ago, I wrote an article (II ALIVE magazine) on the
"stealth-GS," how to install a IIgs motherboard into a IIe casing. I've
made five of them, and they all work. Steve Townsend (Tacoma WA) has made
even more of them, and in August 1998 I visited him at Tacoma to study his
construction technique.

If anyone wants a paper copy of the STEALTH-GS article, just send me
e-mail and I'll send it off (no cost).

The advantages of the Stealth-GS are that its less prone to theft, it
allows continued use of the IIe keyboard (great feel of keys!), and
accessories such as system saver IIe.
