Re: Just bought an Apple II - and now the questions.

If the JCS is a true monitor, you do not need the modulator. Is there a
female RCA jack labeled "VIDEO" on the monitor? If so, connect a
male-to-male RCA phono cable from the Apple II+ video output to the JCS
video input.

If you do need the modulator, then the modulator probably needs power. Do
you have a wall-wart power supply? Is there a power supply jack on the
modulator? If the modulator is connected inside the Apple II near the game
port, then it is receiving power from the Apple II.

Test the monitor alone. Connect it to a VCR and see the really really bad
flesh tones.

Connect the Apple II to a VCR video input and see if that works.

At this point I am trying to see if the problem is the Apple II, the
monitor, or the modulator.
