But the Pentium III's architecture is far more advanced over
the 286 than the G4's over the Athlon.  But the rule still
applies.  It would just take a greater (theoretical) clock speed
A 5000Ghz 286 might be able to match a 1Ghz Athlon in
integer operations, for instance.  Just a guess.
