In all of this, Linux is not mentioned. It is so easy to set it up with
out the complexities of the *nix command line. Xfree86 GUI is the accepted
standard in many *nix compatible OS's. This is probably the most
configurable GUI available and Linux itself runs on a variety of platforms
including some Mac's.
