CP/M Comm program...maybe

I think that I may have found a CP/M communication program on an Apple II
formatted disk for my softcard, and if so, then I'll start doing a serious
file transfer of CP/M software.

I found it on a CPMUG disk (#79) but I'm not sure if it will work or not,
since the "a" disk of a three disk set is missing -it's always something
isn't it!, however, I was looking at the .ASM files on the disks that I
have, and I think that each .ASM file is just a different version of the
same SMODEM program. For example, SMODEM37.ASM seems to be SMODEM version
3.7 for the Hayes Smart Modem.

I haven't assembled the file yet but I bought a Hayes 300 baud Apple II
modem that I should be getting in the mail any day now, and I'll give it a
try when it gets here. The .ASM files have several lines that cover slot
numbers, so I'm hoping that this software will work with my modem.

Does anyone have any experience with any of this software? I may be jumping
the gun on this whole thing but I'm kind of excited to finally be able to
start copying CP/M software over to my Apple IIe.

I'll keep you CP/M fans updated. Feel free to offer any suggestions.
