Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the CMS SCSI card does not
support CD-ROM drives!
You'll need a RamFAST or Apple High Speed SCSI card (the Rev. C
will work too but if you are looking for an Apple card, the High Speed
version is the best and will give you less trouble).
The CMS card cannot support a partition larger than 32MB and as
you can imagine, most CD-ROMs are single partition 650MB volumes.
The reason the IIGS can support most standard Mac and PC CD-ROM
formats is because it is file system independent so ProDOS' 32MB
limit is irrelevant to the IIGS. It can use ISO9660 or HFS at will. But
with the CMS card, the 32MB limit is in the SCSI card too. That's
why the CMS SCSI card will not work with your CD-ROM drive.
