On a related note, a few programmers have created some great joystick
routines. One for reading both joysticks at the same time on a IIgs.
One for extended paddle range and one for reduced jitter response. So
for IIgs users who still use the paddles, I combined them. The
joystick read routine is faster and the range goes up to between 400
to 500 and maybe even farther with an accelerator card. Which should
allow one to move a dot across all of the 640x200 screen.
The extended paddle range and reduced jitter parts should work on a
IIe and should have a greater range than 280 for the hi-res screen but
not 560 for the dbl hi-res screen.
The program is fairly compact and fits in page 3. I can send the
source code if interested.
