Re: Memory chips in IIC?



The early //cs had 16 64x1 bit memory chips, giving 128K in two banks,
nothing new there. However, I think you will have to replace the
orginial chips with the same size chips. I don't think the Apple //c can
use the more common 256x1 memory chips, or the 64x4 bit chips. Jameco
should have the chips you need, on the other hand, I've got 18 64k chips
downstairs, and I think (I need to double check) they are the 1 bit wide
chips.

BTW, if I remember correctly, your memory chips are on the right hand
side of the motherboard, under the diskdrive.
